It’s often said, “The ‘right’ people are an organization’s most important asset.” Yet, in my 20+ years in asset management, I’ve rarely seen people or culture topics prioritized in Maintenance Excellence initiatives. When addressed, the focus was typically on competence matrices, leadership training, or skill development.
To truly optimize maintenance activities, we must not only adopt advanced tools but also leverage the knowledge and engagement of our people.
As Jack Welch said, “What’s in it for me?” must be answered to drive change. And as Peter Drucker put it, “Culture eats strategy for breakfast.”
My presentation will cover how to drive culture change, engage teams, and share success stories. I’ll also explore the missing link between Maintenance and Engineering, offering practical insights to bridge this gap.
